Kids Club Member Wins Hank Aaron Award

LeWanda Rozier, age 12, a member of the East Atlanta Kids Club, recently won an award from the Hank Aaron Chasing the Dream Foundation, which helps children between the ages of 7 and 12 to further their talents. Rozier's application to pursue training in the fields of dance and acting was among those selected by the Aaron family.  The East Atlanta Kids Club, a mentoring program based in the Brownwood Park Recreation Center, has formed an ongoing partnership with the Hank Aaron Foundation.

The Kids Club also has incorporated a s a non-profit corporation. The SouthStar Community Development Corporation is acting as fiscal sponsor for the Kids Club.
