The East Atlanta Kids Club has two youth mentoring programs that give adults the opportunity to interact with some of the coolest and creative kids in this city:
EAKC Team Mentoring takes place in a group setting at Brownwood Park Recreation Center in East Atlanta. Three days a week, adults and kids engage in creative projects, educational activities, recreational activities, cooking projects, computer activities, field trips, and more. They also talk about what's going on in the world, in the community, and in their lives.
The Friendship Connection is a one-on-one mentoring program that allows an adult to get to know a particular child and to establish a meaningful, long-term relationship.
Team Mentoring takes place on Tuesdays 4:30 - 6:30 PM, Thursdays 4:30-6:30 pm, and Saturdays 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM. Mentors are expected to volunteer at least 6 hours per month, for 6 months.
One-on-one Mentoring requires a time commitment of at least 5 hours per month, for at least one full year. Both mentoring programs require volunteers to attend orientation and training sessions, and to undergo a background check.
We also have other volunteer opportunities available! Currently we need help with planning for special events, data entry and management, and computer lab maintenance. We are always looking for talented local artists to share their skills with the kids.

You will be notified when the next orientation is scheduled. Most orientations are held on Mondays from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm at Brownwood Park Recreation Center; please call to confirm.
